Scott Millar creates elegant playful jewellery with a minimalist approach to both design and creation. His work uses a combination of silver and 18ct yellow gold in colourful gemstones, often mismatched, to bring a smile to the wearer!
Jewellery should be fun, refined, elegant and playful all at the same time. Using only handmade traditional techniques, Scott's modern approach to mixing colours and materials leads to striking pieces of jewellery to cherish for years to come.
All materials used in his work are from validated recycled sources and all gemstones are ethically sourced and untreated.
Originally from Perth, Scotland, Scott moved to London to develop his skills as a Goldsmith through attending the world-renowned Royal College of Art. After a near decade of working in and around Hatton Garden he relocated to Brighton.
Spending a number of years working alongside classically trained jewellers, he went on to be senior Goldsmith for a number of high end jewellers.
As well as being an established Jeweller and Goldsmith, Scott has a wealth of experience teaching at both Further Education and University level students.
Scott Millar Jewellery is a registered Fairtrade Goldsmith and Ambassador of Fairtrade Gold in association with the Fairtrade Foundation. All of his jewellery and repairs are completed using recycled materials and can create pieces entirely using Fairtrade mined gold on request.
